So things have been a little hectic lately. I’ve been very lax with updates to anything, aswell as organising the software on my new hardware. I’m still searching for a good price on the Adobe suite, but in the mean time I have been taking an interest into Android development, after a book purchase from Amazon.

Even though I haven’t provided any updates lately, doesn’t mean I shall not be updating any of my plugins or creations, just that I have encountered a delay. The first update will be a long awaited update to the Easy Image Share plugin for WordPress to enable the use of the plugin for multiple images.

Hopefully I will be able to post more details soon, but for now I wanted to post on here to remind people that I am still around

Finally new hardware

So a few days ago I finally updated my hardware, and got a laptop to replace my pc. Finally I have hardware that is more stable, I am able to branch out to Android development aswell as php development.

Realisation

So I spent a few hours yesterday, browsing through some of my old projects aswell as some unfinished projects, and it brought some realisation.

After the next update to Easy Image Share plugin, I shall begin to complete some of my old projects, especially the KGPT script. I shall finish off what was unfinished, and then proceed to rewrite the project, to include better theming capabilities and ajax features.

Aswell as the above, we shall soon be taking requests for both WordPress and MyBB plugins.

A bit more diversity

It’s always good to learn new things, and since we released a new forum as of late, we’ve decided to have a go at our first MyBB plugin. This plugin will be of users who utilise the Newpoints plugin (though we will make it more compatible with future updates). More details will be announced with the imminent release of the plugin, since it is being made within whatever spare time available.

Kaitora Affiliate 1.2 release today

The kaitora affiliate system plugin has just been upgraded to 1.2, and with this, you can now have a custom word for your out URL. The plugin has been tested up to 3.1. Future planned versions of this plugin will include an AJAX submission of keywords to replace, aswell as better statistics

The recent PR update

We would like to announce that as of the last PR update, Kaitora Designs is now a PR3 site. This is actually unexpected, as we haven’t been link building for this site (but for others in our network that have also gained PR). So we would like to take this oppurtunity to thank everyone that has used our plugins etc, and linked back to us.

New Years Resolutions

2010 saw the release of two plugins into the wordpress repository, but seemed to lack that oomph (push) that was needed. This year, we have higher hopes for our direction. Not only are we planning further plugins for wordpress, but we also plan on completing projects we stated last year (especially the KGPT, which we are recoding to new standards).

To aid us with our goals, we have not only improved our PHP and MySQL skills, but have began to learn JQuery too. This leads to hopes of better interactivity, aswell as better aesthetics in our work.

So this year, you can look forward to:
1) Updates to some of our plugins
2) More and diverse wordpress plugins
3) A recoded and release of the KGPT
and more yet to be announced.

Easy Image Share 1.4 Update

Today, I updated Easy Image Share to 1.4, with the new addition of being able to disable the plugin on certain posts and pages simply by adding [stop-eis] to your post. Granted it is a minor update, but an update non the less.

The KGPT, has temporarily been placed on the back burners, after taking on a project for a friend. The project will be available as a wordpress plugin. It’s function is to find and replace keywords with affiliate links. This is a plugin I will be releasing with updates, since the initial requirements, make it a pretty basic plugin to start with, so I will be continuing to add new features etc to it.

The initial release will feature the ability to add keywords (each will correspond to it’s own URL). The admin allows the ability to set max replacements, enable/disable the plugin and the ability to view the number of times each keyword has been clicked.

The plugin is almost complete, with only the keyword search and replace functions to be added.

Well we’re constantly adding features before we release the KGPT, and what better than the MyCoupon add-in… now you can instantly add coupon codes to the database, that can be instantly redeemed for points when the user has enough. It’s useful for those that wish to put minimal effort into the site. This is designed for individual use coupons at this time, and while the module is active, it will open up the MyCoupon panel in the user area. Along with this, the download prize function will also be bundled on release.
